The people she and other kids should be able to rely upon to safeguard their interests don't always come up to scratch. Ash's job - whether she chooses to accept it or not - is to weed out the ones with ulterior motives and make sure they don't harm any more kids. |

Synopsis
Nine-year-old Ashleigh is no ordinary girl – through no fault of her own. She has an attitude to rival any Diva and the solid steel determination to back it up. The only thing her parents taught her was how to take a beating and she is sick of learning that particular lesson. When she is introduced to ‘The Favour Man’ lives are going to be changed – some for the better, others not so much. Not much in Ash’s life runs smoothly but in the autumn of her ninth year, she is forced to deal with more adventure, hardship, abuse and pieces of the harshest reality than she could have imagined and it knocks the previous years’ experiences into a cocked hat. Junkies, dealers, paedophiles and hitmen all show up virtually on her doorstep and she has a battle on, not only to stay alive but to keep hold of her sanity if she can. |

Welcome to my website.
For newcomers just arrived from the less usual sources, here’s a little introduction. I am a writer, an author, editor, film producer and purveyor of fiction and entertainment. I am also irreverent, with a dark sense of humour. My usual genres are horror and urban fantasy – fiction of course. Enter my realm of fiction at your own risk. I don’t claim to be anything but an Indie Film Producer. I have no training and I learned everything I know about film production by jumping in at the deep end and flailing for shore. It doesn’t get any more ‘sink or swim’ than being asked if I want to be a Movie Producer, saying yes and getting down to organising locations later that same day! As a Producer I organised locations – for auditions and filming - actors, scenes to be filmed, permission documents and on occasion, food for the cast and crew. I try to avoid getting in front of the camera at all costs. I leave the acting to other, more talented people who are better suited for that role. Thanks for visiting.
