The first week of 2014 and what a week!
I have an appointment to meet with a new Agent so we're off to London later this month, I've been invited to become part of a fabulous group of writers and bloggers in The Review Admin Team (thank you Paula), I have more work than I can shake a bush at, (never mind a stick) and I finished the 7th story in Dusty the Demon Hunter's adventures (click the link for the FREE copy of her first story). Some of the trusted beta-readers have it at the moment so when I know if there's anything to be changed, it'll go up live. There will be a little twist to the launch of that story too. I adore my readers and appreciate the time taken to read and review my work, so I'll be giving the seventh story away to EVERYONE who has ever left a review on any of my stories. The next bit of news on Dusty the Demon Hunter is: The 8th and 9th adventures are on their way too and once finished, I'll be compiling a book of her stories. It won't just be a book of the stories lumped together, rather, it will be a novel - a full-sized one - for those who have always asked for a full-length story from Dusty. She's paid her dues, it's time to give her a full book now.
I was rather overwhelmed on Monday. I had a phone call from a good friend in the industry - the man who took my books to Frankfurt actually - he introduced them to a Literary Agent and she seemed enthusiastic about them. I announced my news on my personal Facebook page and the response stopped me dead in my tracks! I had more than a hundred people like the status and almost as many post messages to congratulate me. I honestly don't realise how many people wish me well and I realise how fortunate I am - Thank you!
More news on the meeting with the Agent later this month.
For now, please take a look at The Review - there are give-aways if you leave a comment on the blog post and the books are AWESOME!
D Michelle Gent has three full novels and a series of six short stories out, she has been Editor for a global magazine and Producer of a number of Indie movies in the last few years.
