There would seem to be a lot of importance attached to a person's name - or more to the point, the nickname that most people know them as. Mine has always been 'Trouble' - yes, seriously. I've always been referred to as 'Trouble' from my earliest memories.
"Oh-oh, here comes Trouble..." Even now.
How did I get the name?
How did it become common knowledge?
How does EVERYONE know I'll answer to it?
I have NO idea! It's a total mystery to me!
Even my kids giggle, they give 'knowing looks' whenever they hear it. I can glare at them all I want, it makes no difference.
I tried to acquire a cool nickname for myself but it never happened. I was called 'Ginger' 'Gingernut' 'Carrot-top' and even, perversely, 'Blue' (yeah, it's Australian).
The one enduring name that I have NEVER introduced myself as yet sticks like glue is 'Trouble'...
I have no alternative then but to live up to it.
